Business Development

Christos has demonstrated a consistent ability to drive growth and navigate complex market landscapes across Europe. As Country Sales Manager for iSquare S.A. (Apple VAD in Greece & Cyprus), he spearheaded the expansion of the Apple market in Cyprus, increasing sales revenue from €1m to €5m, across all market segments in just two years (2010-2012). He founded VeraGrand (Studio, Academy, Music Label, Publishing), formerly known as Veramand, establishing a resilient global artistic hub that not only survived through the 2013 recession, but was re-designed to operate fully online before the global COVID-19 pandemic. In the non-profit sector, Christos applied this business acumen to the AIDS Solidarity Movement, revitalizing its financial model and transforming it from a struggling entity into a recognized human-rights organisation, with sustainable annual operations and a close collaboration with European Networks, the Cyprus Ministry of Health, and the Cyprus National Addictions Authority.

Strategic Communications

With a career defined by impactful messaging, Christos has led strategic communications for both high-level corporate entities, international networks and local NGOs. His portfolio includes managing digital marketing, branding and communications strategies for Objects Stores (representign brands like Versace, Alessi, Bugatti, Vista Alegre, Kosta Boda, Hermes, Leonardo, Kela, Rogaska, Philippi, Emile Henry etc.), the Pilakoutas Group (representing brands like BMW, Jaguar, and Land Rover), VeraGrand (Academy, Productions Studio, Music Label, Publishing), while in the past he had contributed in the communications and marketing strategies of iSquare S.A. & Rainbow S.A. (Apple Inc VAD and IMCs), UNIC Health (Medical School, School of Veterinary Medicine, UNIC Medical Centre and the UNIC Mobile Clinic) and Universal Music Group UK (Marketing Department - Back Catalogues). In the public health field, he served as the Strategic Communication Specialist for AIDS Action Europe, where he managed external communications across a network of more than 370 community organisations in Europe and Central Asia, and contributed to the COBATEST Network foundational operation and processes.

Community Expertise

Christos is deeply embedded in the European public health and advocacy landscape, bridging the gap between grassroots communities and policy-level institutions. He currently serves as Board Chair of the AIDS Solidarity Movement (2023-2027) and has held the role of Steering Committee (SC) Chair for AIDS Action Europe (2023-2024), serving on the SC between 2018-2023), while representing the network on the SC of the COBATEST Network (2018-2024). His expertise is recognized by major international bodies; he has served as a Community Expert for the ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control), and was a member of the CSO informal working group for the WHO Regional Office for Europe. Additionally, his work with the European AIDS Treatment Group (EATG) based in Brussels, as a Human Rights Activist and Professional Trainer, and the Mi-Health Network led by Africa Advocacy Foundation (UK) highlights his commitment to rights-based health advocacy for marginalized populations.

Professional Training

Christos is an accomplished educator and trainer with a diverse portfolio spanning academia, corporate sales, and civil society. In the academic sector, he has led the Music Business module in the Music Technology Diploma at European University Cyprus, and has delivered workshops on communications skills for medical students at UNIC Medical Scool. His expertise in music technology & audio production led to collaborations with the Republic of Cyprus Ministry of Education to deliver training at  public schools, as well as ad hoc training sessions at Greek Educational institutions such as Aegean College, IVT OMIROS, and IVT AKMI. On the corporate side, he has conducted extensive sales and technical training for Apple Authorised Resellers in Greece (SAE Athens, Athens Pro Audio, Document S.A.), and Cyprus (Greycom Ltd, Public, Electroline, etc.). Furthermore, as a Human Rights Activist and Professional Trainer for EATG (European AIDS Treatment Group) since 2018, he has facilitated capacity-building workshops and training sessions across Europe for the EATG StepUp Academy, and has produced a series of training videos the EATG PROMISE Project. His training experience extends to international networks like AIDS Action Europe (Berlin), COBATEST (Barcelona), and Mi-Health (UK), as well as local bodies including the Cyprus National Addictions Authority, the Cyprus Family Planning Association, the Cyprus Refugee Council, and Accept LGBTI Cyprus.

Digital Production

Combining creative vision with technical precision, Christos possesses extensive hands-on experience in multimedia production. He is an Apple Certified Pro and Apple Certified Trainer for Logic Pro (2008) and Soundtrack Pro (2008), owns a professional home studio equipped for high-end audiovisual creation and has produced audiovisual digital content for various projects, from TV to radio, from advertising to project documentation, from music to audiobooks. His technical proficiency extends to video editing with Final Cut, audio engineering, and visual graphics and design using the Affinity Studio/Canva. Beyond content creation, he leverages emerging technologies, including Generative AI tools and SEO/SEM data analysis, to optimize digital outreach and modernize organizational workflows.

Project Management

Throughout his career, Christos has successfully managed and contributed significantly to complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, funded by diverse international organizations. He has overseen critical public health projects funded by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the EU4Health "CORE" programme, CERV "Safe-R" programme, and the Mi-Health Network on Community HIV/STI Testing (2016-onwards). At the University of Nicosia UNIC Health, he managed the logistics and expansion of the "Mobile Clinic" project (2022-2025), significantly increasing its operational capacity around Cyprus. He has also managed multiple other projects for the Cy Checkpoint and Cyprus PrEP Point of the AIDS Solidarity Movement. His approach ensures that projects, whether focused on community testing, educational expeditions, or corporate training, are delivered on time, within budget, and with S.M.A.R.T. measurable impact.

Research work

Christos actively contributes to the academic and scientific understanding of public health trends through data-driven research. He served as the Cyprus focal point for ECDC Dublin Declaration, and has led research for the "EMIS II 2017 & EMIS III 2024: European Men who have Sex with Men Internet Survey", contributing to numerous ECDC reports, such as the special report on "HIV and Migrants" (2023). His research portfolio also includes co-authored works on the distinction between Chemsex and sexualized drug use (2023), as well as rapid risk assessments for the ECDC regarding multi-country disease outbreaks (2022). This research underscores his ability to analyze complex data sets to inform policy and community intervention strategies.
